Okra ‘Green Fingers’

This compact version of Okra is perfect for small gardens and containers. The upright well-branched plant has attractive foliage and produces finger like pods resembling a long green chili. Harvest frequently since the smaller fingers have the best flavor. Okra is a very versatile vegetable whose texture varies depending on how it’s cooked. If you like it gooey and glutinous, add it to an African-style stew or if you prefer it in whole chunks, try it in a classic American gumbo. Okra is widely used in Indian, Middle Eastern, Caribbean and southern US cookery.
