Sambucas nigra ‘Samdal’
A new Danish cultivar grown for its production of large clusters of flavorful fruit. The black berries ripen in late summer and are high in anthocyanins and immune-boosting properties. Long shoots sprout from the ground each year and bear fruit the following season. Ripens in late summer. Are excellent made into jams, jellies, juices, and cordials. Ripe berries are dark purple/blue.
