All Pear

Pears yields are best when they are matched with a cross-pollinator. Plant at least two cultivars.

European Pears: Traditional teardrop pear-shaped. Sweet and juicy
Harvest when they are mature but still hard. Ripen at room temperature for the best quality.

Asian Pears: Round and crisp. Sweet, but not juicy. Also called nashi, apple pears, or salad pears. Ripen on the tree and are ready to eat when harvested.

Standard Pear:
Grows 20 feet tall and 25 feet wide.
Plant at least 20 feet apart

Semi-Dwarf Pear:
Grow 15 feet tall and wide
Plant at least 15 feet apart

Darf Pears:
Grow 8-12 feet tall and wide
Plant at least 8 feet apart
